Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy
Since 2002, our team has been consistently performing a large number of laparoscopic and robotic hysterectomies for various benign and malignant indications and since 2004 in Greece as well.
In this video a TLH is performed for a symptomatic patient with metrorrhagia,severe anemia, pressure related symptoms due to a moderate size myomatous uterus and failed medical management of one and half years duration.

Laparotomy
Laparotomy is still considered a reliable and trustworthy procedure for a trained surgeon to perform whenever deemed clinically necessary.
Radical Hysterectomy
The first total laparoscopic radical hysterectomy, with complete lymph node dissection, was performed in Greece in 2004 by Dr. G. Hilaris and his team.
Total Hysterectomy
This is an operation to remove the entire uterus, as well as the fallopian tubes & ovaries, and its quite common, in case of endometrial (uturine) cancer.
